lyrics
Sally left her coat out in the rain
buckle shoes, umbrella lie in streams
from paint box the colors run
from cold blue to indigo
solemn the days did come
still solemn they go
and the rain came down
Teardrops trickle down her window room
grey clouds gather weeping out their hue
from white dress young Sunday girl
to black clad dark misty eyes
these hours were not your friend
your garden doth die
and the sands came down
Sally rides her bike up to the square
strides of silent wonder, blue eyes stare
her cottage sinks far away
over her shoulder small
the pathway snakes endlessly
its ending unknown
still she moves along
Sally sits out by the forest edge
picking all the burrows from her hair
untangle the messy brier
tender locks fall undone
like black velvet orphan child
no friend to the sun
(she says)
These days are but molecules
gathering flow recklessly
and chemical spools are we
each swirling un-spun
still the days come down
A true hidden treasure of a song writer. This gent has been capturing songs in demo form on old tape recorders since the 80s. . . and he's still capturing his magic sounds in his secret basement. Damien Youth

Excellent medieval folk, IGR, & those with ears to hear. I love the sense of mysticism and deep, introspective ponder this album conveys, & the honest down-to-earth folky lyrics. Simply wonderful yet soulfully rich. Highlights for me are tracks 2, 5, 6, & 12. IGR truly capture what I feel is an authentic sense of a medieval bard at a woodland rill pondering the mysteries of life. Highly recommended. 8.5+/10. Alrihkh

Done in medieval, wyrdfolk and psychedelic style, there is a deep bell to open and close the recording. An allegorical tale using alchemy as a backdrop, it is very pastoral and haunting. Some instruments included are viola, nyckelharpa, and dulcimer, along with acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards and percussion. The phantasmagoric story that ensues once the vocals begin is best listened to from start to finish for full effect. Favourite Track: The Serpent Nickie Harte Kelly
