Merry Christmas Elizabeth Kimball
I hope that you're having a lovely December
Rushing by on your way, past the store front display
catch a glimpse of herself in that window
In your red velvet cape, with your colors in-laced
You're the harlequin princess of winter
And I wanted to just say hello but I froze
when you're near I just hang there in limbo
And late at night when you are warm inside your home
I wander through the streets of snow. I am all alone.
Happy holidays, all of the children are gathered around
singing carols they wake me.
I get up to my feet and walk back to the street
where I know that I'll see you, I'm waiting
Santa's ringing his bell and the shop keeper yells at me
please go away you old beggar
As I turn to walk off I see you and you're scoffing along
with those fresh faced young fellows.
And in my tattered coat I walk out in the street
And then my eyes fill up with tears, eyes fill up with tears.

And late at night when you are warm inside your home
I wander through the streets of snow. I am all alone.

A true hidden treasure of a song writer. This gent has been capturing songs in demo form on old tape recorders since the 80s. . . and he's still capturing his magic sounds in his secret basement. Damien Youth
