lyrics
Johnny told the man
we’re not sticking with the plan
we’re trying to find a new way.
And he said we have a choice
but I never found my voice
in that revolution peace craze.
You can take it to the streets
you can raise it up on every sign
But they’ll just knock you off your feet
and push you back in line.
I have no faith in gods
or the saving grace of love
I’ve no hope for all humanity.
No I won’t participate
I won’t vote and I won’t pray
That’s just spinning phantom wheels to me.
They raise up holy martyrs
say they died for you and me.
But the truth be known
it was us who killed them anyway.
It’s selfish if you think
all existence is in sync
with what you feel or what is in your mind.
It’s not humble, it’s not wise
you just hide behind your lies
saying “People, God is on our side.”
Johnny told the man
we’re not sticking with the plan
we’re trying to find a new way.
I’m not trying to make you scared
but Johnny disappeared
they found him bleeding in his doorway.
You can put it on the silver screen
you can play it from your stereo
But they’ll just knock you off your feet
and tell you where to go.
A true hidden treasure of a song writer. This gent has been capturing songs in demo form on old tape recorders since the 80s. . . and he's still capturing his magic sounds in his secret basement. Damien Youth

Excellent medieval folk, IGR, & those with ears to hear. I love the sense of mysticism and deep, introspective ponder this album conveys, & the honest down-to-earth folky lyrics. Simply wonderful yet soulfully rich. Highlights for me are tracks 2, 5, 6, & 12. IGR truly capture what I feel is an authentic sense of a medieval bard at a woodland rill pondering the mysteries of life. Highly recommended. 8.5+/10. Alrihkh

Done in medieval, wyrdfolk and psychedelic style, there is a deep bell to open and close the recording. An allegorical tale using alchemy as a backdrop, it is very pastoral and haunting. Some instruments included are viola, nyckelharpa, and dulcimer, along with acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards and percussion. The phantasmagoric story that ensues once the vocals begin is best listened to from start to finish for full effect. Favourite Track: The Serpent Nickie Harte Kelly
